Recipe for Mahamri Coastal style

Ingredients

  • 500g flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 50ml water,
  • 100ml milk,
  • 30g yeast[dry]
  • 5 cloves cardamon.
Method
1. In a large bowl, pour in the flour and mix the sugar, milk & yeast, 
2. Gradually add water and mix into a dough
3. Add the cardamon seeds into the dough n keep mixing. 
4. Knead for 30min, once done (it should be sticky but not too much) sprinkle some flour on the dough and knead again for a few minutes. 
5. Split the dough into 5 dough balls, cover them and let them rise 
6. After 40min it should be ready then sprinkle some flour on the table and roll them into circles one by one, 7. Cut into 2 once rolled out to make the triangle shapes.(Each circle should give you 4 mahamris)
8.  Heat up the oil  for about 5 minutes then dip them in and fry them until they are golden brown.
